Pilot terms

MESH is an early-stage research pilot independently supported by local engineering and commercial infrastructure partners. It is not operated by BELCO.

Phase 1 is limited to brief connectivity tests of privately owned Tesla and Enphase home energy systems. Tests last about thirty minutes, use minimal energy, and are scheduled with advance notice. You may opt out at any time from the MESH portal, or from your Tesla or Enlighten account.

There is no direct financial compensation for Phase 1 testing, apart from the standard utility rebate programmes already established. Data from the pilot will be used to inform future Regulatory Authority rules on fair compensation for homeowners.

Connecting a Tesla or Enphase system authorizes MESH to request the energy-related API scopes needed to read site status and, with notice, run those connectivity tests. MESH does not sell your data. Access can be revoked in the MESH portal, and in your Tesla or Enlighten account.
